„Tsvetelina” - new high yield variety of cotton

     Резюме
 
The study was carried out during the period 2010-2016 years at the Field Crops Institute, Chirpan. In the system of IASAS the variety „Tsvetelina” was tested in 2015- 2016. The variety was certified and registered in the catalog of the Republic of Bulgaria in 2018 (Сеrtificate № 11139 R2/30.04.2018). It was created by method of radiation mutagenesis. The study presented morphological and biological characteristics of the variety „Tsvetelina”. Estimated productive potential and fiber quality than standard varieties and other new Bulgarian varieties in a field trials and in the system of IASAS. The survey results identify the new variety „Tsvetelina” as earliness, productivе, with good technological properties of the fiber. The new variety „Tsvetelina” exceeded the average standard with more than 3% seed cotton yield and more than 8% fiber yield. The results were higher on the trails inder Chirpan conditions. The variety exceeded „Avangard-264” by lint percentage. It was smaller in comparison with „Chirpan-539”. The fiber was strong with high uniformityр maturity and microner. By fiber length it was behind the average standard. The variety „Tsvetelina” are suitable for growing under different conditions and technologies.
