     Резюме

In a survey carried out in 2016 an Generall and Specific Combining Ability for grain extraction capacity was assessed for a set of medium-early maize lines, part of the Corn Collection of Maize Research Institute –Knezha. As a result of the committed experimental work and the analysis found that the highest general combining ability are lines КС 13 37, ХМ 13 7 and ХМ 13 6. These lines can be included as components of medium-early synthetics or as testers in analyzing crosses to determine of general combining ability in early stages of the selection process. Said lines with high specific combining ability – ХМ 13 20, ХМ 13 5 and ХM 12 11 are suitable for inclusion in combinations to developing high-yielding hybrids. Two of the tested lines KC 13 69 and KC 13 70 has both high GCA and SCA. These lines can be used in corresponding breeding of the selection programs.

Key words: Grain yield, Generall combining ability, Inbred lines, Maize, Specific combining ability.
