Aspects of the official control of the trade in organic food in Northeastern Bulgaria

In Bulgaria is developed a control system, in accordance with the requirements of Council Regulation (EU) № 834/2007 of 28 June 2007 on organic production and labeling of organic products. Official control of foodproducts on the market over the use of terms and indications for an organic production method ensures efficient, harmonized and risk-based checks on the labeling and traceability of organic products in relation to wholesale and retail sales. The statistical processing of the information from the annual reports of Regional Food Safety Directorates (RFSD) - Varna and RFSD - Dobrich is presented graphically and reflects the activities of the competent authority, according to the criteria for determining the frequency of inspections at the sites.
