     Резюме

Sunflower hybrid Enigma CLP is a male fertile two-line hybrid developed by the method of interlinear hybridization. This is the first officially registered Bulgarian sunflower hybrid, which is suitable for growing with the Clearfield Plus technology. The mother component is line 1111A, which possesses cytoplasmic male sterility, and was obtained from line BTI M1 provided by company BASF. The father line 10023R was obtained through selfing in Clearfield hybrids and selection. It is strongly branched and rich in pollen, restores to 100 % the fertility of the hybrid and is characterized by very good specific combining ability. The hybrid went through official 3-year testing within the structures of the Bulgarian Executive Agency of Variety Testing, Field Inspection and Seed Control, and was officially registered and approved with order No RD 12-5/10.04.2019 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Hybrid enigma CLP is medium early, its vegetative growth period is 115 – 120 days and matures 8-10 days after hybrid San Luka. The plants are 170- 190 cm high and the head diameter reaches 20-22 cm. The hybrid was developed for high oil of linoleic type (oil content in kernel 47-48%). The seeds are black, with weakly expressed grey stripes on the margins and between margins. The hybrid is resistant to downy mildew (races up to 731), the resistance coming from both parental forms, and tolerant to phoma and phomopsis. It is tolerant to the parasite Orobanche up to race E. The plants are resistant to lodging and do not break before harvesting. Maximum yield in the experimental fields of DAI – 427 kg/da.
