Heliks – new variety durum wheat (Triticum durum Desf.)

     Резюме
 
Heliks is created through intraspecific hybridization and traditional breeding scheme. The variety is accepted in 2018 year and is inscribed in the variety list of Bulgaria and Europe. In the publication are presented many years (2011-2018) results from the varietal testing of Helix for biological and economic qualities in competitive variety trials in the breeding field of IPK - Chirpan and in the system of state variety testing of Bulgaria (IASAS) for the period 2015 - 2016. The variety has a high yield potential under suitable meteorological conditions and high agrotechnology. Its technological qualities indicate that it is suitable for making high quality pasta. In terms of economically important fungal pathogens, it exhibits moderate resistance with good tolerance. Heliks variety is suitable for cultivation on the territory of the country, the most favorable for this is the region of central southern Bulgaria. Its inclusion in the seed production system allows it to be grown by farmers.
